He couldn't find anything from a store to suit his needs. There was a spacein his dining room he had in mind, but everything he looked at was too wide or too high. So he called me up.
The end result was made from quarter-sawn red Oak, with Elm burl top and side panels. Add adjustable shelves, frosted glass with beveled inserts, touch latches, hidden hinges, and antiqued hardware, and you end up with what you see. And it fit into the space he had designated for it.
Well, it could have been a humidor...
