This was an interesting travel humidor. Approximately 9" x 12" x 1.5" deep.
This particular one was built out of a piece of almost blond heart Redwood, something I don't see much of. It also had a nice quilted effect to it as a grain subtext(changed colors depending on which direction the light hit it). The other interesting feature was the built-in keyed lock. I use English locks, and this one doesn't even have an escutcheon. I cut a keyhole into the face of the humidor and left it just like that.
The lid insert is made from a piece of Lacewood. It's got a very interesting woven appearance in its pattern, and is light enough in color to balance well with the blonde Redwood frame and lid. Quite different.
