Got an order for two of these travel humidors. Carl's from Hawaii, so he wanted something Hawaiian(makes sense). I built him two travel boxes, approximately 9" x 12" x 1" deep.
These particular ones were built out of some VERY rare Hawaiian Koa, which is an extremely hard wood. This board was CURLY Koa, which is even harder to find. The lid insert(top) was made from a piece of Eucalyptus burl, which I can't seem to find any more of right now(yes, I'm still on the lookout for some). I reversed the pattern of the Eucalyptus on the humidors so that the hygrometers were at the top and bottom of the lids respectively, so Carl could tell his from his friends.
Then again, the cigars inside might be an indicator of which one belongs to whom...
