Did I ever say I built just humidors? I like building custom period furniture also, as in the example shown. This particular creation had to fit in a certain spot in a certain room. Regardless, certain proportions had to be maintained to preserve the integrity of that period's design. But I did it.
It is made from quarter-sawn red oak, and has Carpathian Elm burl side panels and top panel. It has frosted and beveled glass doors(with touch latch). The lift-up top is a hidden storage compartment. My wife wouldn't speak to me for three days after I took this piece out of the house.
But it could STILL be a humidor if I wanted it to be a humidor!
